I missed Topic Tuesday so here it is.
Prom.
Not only prom, but prom and how ridiculous it is.

Point number one:
Girl spend way too much money on this thing.
A girls shopping list for prom goes beyond the dress and shoes. Lets put into perspective actual prom costs for girls.
Dress… $250.00
Shoes… $35.00
Hair and Make Up… $80.00
Jewelry… $20.00
Nails and Toes… $55.00
Tanning/Spray tan… $55.00
That’s around $500.00 not even including your meal, your ticket, your ride, and whatever you planned on doing after prom. This thing is expensive you need to make sure you will at least enjoy it. Come on ladies. You did not spend all that money to show up with some tool bag and not enjoy your night!
Disclaimer, I’m so not trying to be sexist I just only have the female view point. Please guys also go to prom with someone enjoyable that won’t ruin your night.

Point number two:
Girls expect to be asked to prom in some far fetched straight up ridiculous way.
Guys panic about just asking you to prom. It’s a big deal to make a move like that, and you so selfishly want him to have it written by plane into the skyline? It’s sweet that he even wants to take you! Take it easy guys, if she’s too particular about that then maybe she just isn’t the chick for you or anyone until she chills out. I mean, cute little ways are great but why do you expect a guy to hang a banner across the Golden Gate Bridge for you? He’s doing his best obviously.
Disclaimer, it’d be totally cool if someone did that and you’d win best guy alive award for that. I’m just telling the ladies to be appreciative of how you ask and I’m telling you guys to just do your very best!

Point number three:
The amount of drunk teens that can be impregnated on prom night.
Lets all start with half of you go to parties that get busted on every other partying occasion. Have you learned nothing? And I know prom can be all sweet and perfect and you might be hyper aware of the musk smell and dim lights, but control yourselves. You won’t be any happier tomorrow if you get crazy tonight. I think it is in every female that wants to party on prom night’s best interest to invest in a chastity belt. Add that to the prom costs $$$. Just be responsible. Trashy prom stories aren’t pretty.
