Hello my darling freaks, geeks, and misfits congrats on another day of inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide. This is Topic Sunday and our topic is:

“Do soul mates exist?”

This is a question I ask myself a lot because I’ve only ever seen one love in which I believed that two people were meant for each other to have an to hold till death do us part and that was the love between my Meems and my Poppy.

My parents got divorced when I was younger so I didn’t really get that kind of fairy tale example. Not that my parents haven’t both found people that they’re head over heels in love with. They have.
My idea of love just goes a little differently than other kids with happily married parents!

And love is also a subject left to many different interpretations.
News flash guys, all the movies were wrong. You’re going to fight with the person you love. And if when you do neither or one of you doesn’t fight hard enough for the other that means it probably wasn’t the best love to start with.

To answer the question:

Yes I believe they do. I believe that two people can be so completely right for each other that if they lived without one another nothing would make sense and no one else would ever have quite the same fit. Two people can most definitely be cut from the same cloth and end up sewn back together perfectly.

But I don’t think that everyone on planet Earth has a soul mate. I think that a lot less people would settle for someone or get divorced if that were true.
I do think people can make other people extremely happy though.

Don’t give up my wallflowers. Someone will make you unreasonably happy.
