Graduation and the Rest of My Life.

Hi, hello, how are you on this dandy/peachy/fine Friday the 13th afternoon my loves? I’ve been indoors all day hiding from the outside world. Why? Because… Well… I’m your average every day bad luck Chuck. So it’s best that I don’t venture out into the strangeness that is society on a day like today. However this day in all its horrifying glory could simply not keep me away from what I love best. Writing a little blog for you.

On June 5th I had the pleasure of walking across a stage in front of the friends and families of my classmates in a blue cap and gown. That’s considered a very important time in every young adults life. The ceremonial transition into actual real life adulthood. (Which is actually false. Actual real life adulthood starts as soon as a person gets over their “black out drunk” nights, and waking up next to strangers just for the record.) This 6 second walk is what four years of crying over tests, significant others, family drama, mean teachers, and failed last minute projects all boils down to. “If all that is true then what seems to be the problem Nealie?” I AM EVER SO DELIGHTED THAT YOU ASKED. I have no idea what my problem is, but I’m caught somewhere between really enjoying my summer and stressing about starting college in the fall. Which I have heard is pretty typical aaaaaaaand I’m rambling. ANYWAYTHEPOINTIS: I’m beyond glad to be done with high school and get on to the rest of my life… I just don’t know how I’m feeling about staring into the face of my future at age 18. I can hardly keep myself from wearing crop tops to places that it’s simply not appropriate to wear crop tops to, and I’m expected to function as a regular part of society now?

I know that I’ll worry less once I start working again. (Oh yeah, little update I’m currently unemployed because I’m going out of town next week and moving the week after that.) BUT FOR NOW… I’m all over the place and seeing every single friend I possibly can before we all head separate ways.
