This past year I have dedicated myself to getting things down on paper and pushing them into the universe. Meeting my goals has been progressively easier because of my understanding of the work I have to put in. To push them even further into the universe, I’m putting them here.
My words for this year: Hustle, Kindness and Love.
Resolutions
- Say “thank you” not “I’m sorry.”
“Thank you for your patience while waiting for me.” NOT “Sorry I’m always late.”
- Save money for goals.
- Graduate with a 3.4 GPA
- STOP being late.
- Be present.
- Pay for a family’s movie tickets.
- Make 1 NBN video per week.
- Make 1 written blog post per week.
- Preform 1 act of kindness per week.
- Eat at home more.
- Travel, Travel, Travel.
- Build and launch a brand.
- Be kind.
- Say “yes.”
- Go camping.
- Manage conflict effectively.
- Budget LIKE A BAWSE.
- Reach fitness goals.
- Take mom to New York
On to act of kindness numero dos. For this act of kindness I decided to utilize social media to start a discussion about eating disorders and unsafe eating habits with my Facebook friends. While sharing my eating disorder story might not seem like an act of kindness on the surface the beautiful amount of responses and private messages tell a different tale. I had young women open up to me and let me know that I need to keep going and to keep being a pick-me-up in their lives. The hope and happiness I pushed into their lives reinforced my determination to complete my 52 acts of kindness.
Video two is mostly some beautiful shots, but here you go:
