Resolutions, Snow and ED Awareness

This past year I have dedicated myself to getting things down on paper and pushing them into the universe. Meeting my goals has been progressively easier because of my understanding of the work I have to put in. To push them even further into the universe, I’m putting them here.

My words for this year: Hustle, Kindness and Love.

Resolutions

  • Say “thank you” not “I’m sorry.”

“Thank you for your patience while waiting for me.” NOT “Sorry I’m always late.”

  • Save money for goals.
  • Graduate with a 3.4 GPA
  • STOP being late.
  • Be present.
  • Pay for a family’s movie tickets.
  • Make 1 NBN video per week.
  • Make 1 written blog post per week.
  • Preform 1 act of kindness per week.
  • Eat at home more.
  • Travel, Travel, Travel.
  • Build and launch a brand.
  • Be kind.
  • Say “yes.”
  • Go camping.
  • Manage conflict effectively.
  • Budget LIKE A BAWSE.
  • Reach fitness goals.
  • Take mom to New York

On to act of kindness numero dos. For this act of kindness I decided to utilize social media to start a discussion about eating disorders and unsafe eating habits with my Facebook friends. While sharing my eating disorder story might not seem like an act of kindness on the surface the beautiful amount of responses and private messages tell a different tale. I had young women open up to me and let me know that I need to keep going and to keep being a pick-me-up in their lives. The hope and happiness I pushed into their lives reinforced my determination to complete my 52 acts of kindness.
Video two is mostly some beautiful shots, but here you go:

Glitter, Budgeting and Pajamas

We’ve reached the end of the first week of 2017 and I don’t know about you, but I’ve really set the tone for my year.
As you’ve seen in my resolutions post I want to complete 52 Acts of Kindness, 52 YouTube videos and 52 blog posts. Just one each week.

As my first act of kindness for the year I reached out to my Facebook friends. The people that were once in my life that I now collect on the internet as humans tend to do nowadays. I picked them as my first act of kindness mostly because I genuinely care about 75 percent of my friends list in one way or another.

On this day I had just completed my budgeting and bills chart for the year, and while I had the template I decided I would reach out to see who needed a little unprofessional financial help.

One of my friends got back to me and said they needed the help desperately. So I hooked them up with a bill calendar and a savings plan. If you’ve never heard a sigh of relief through Facebook Messenger you should know it’s pretty therapeutic.

Act of Kindness 1: DONE

On to my first glitter fueled-cinevlog-explosion of a video. For this video I tested out the cinevlog style again — but I suppose I can’t quite call it testing anymore now that I’m just DOING it… Long story short there is still glitter in my scalp, ears and nose.

Video 1: DONE

And (aside from my resolutions post) here we are with blog post 1… DONE!

Welcome to 2017 NBN. I hope this year brings you new levels of badassery, hustle and goal getting.

XOXO,

Nealie

Mori 3 X 4

Hey guys! I had a little upload trouble.

Here is 3 X 4.

Tiffany and I experimented with making this already used location look new, radical light and different editing techniques.

This is in my top 3.

Enjoy!

XOXO,

NBNealie

Mori 3 X 3

Tiffany and I filmed this one late at night in a 24 hour laundrymat. It was… weird. We had so much fun with this one and my acrobatic attempts. (I landed on my head once… For real.)

This one is in my top three favorites, I hope you love it too!
