Hello all of you! It is indeed a GOOD morning!
I’m going to start off by saying I have been faced with a whole lot of negativity lately. Friends, family, the news, etc have been talking more about troubles than blessings. So I imagine lots of you must be facing the same issues.
Just know that as you begin reading this: Positivity will change. your. life. So here are some reasons why you should try and think positively!
Positivity has made me able to:
•Hold my tongue and avoid conflict.
•Positively affect others lives.
•Love myself.
•Believe in myself.
•Pursue my dreams.
I fight with people so much less! Im a confrontational person. It’s just who I am. I’ve been working on it for years and I just haven’t been able to shake it. HOWEVER, since pursuing a positive lifestyle with a positive mind set I’ve been able to just not say anything at all instead of arguing. I’m able to think more rationally. I even fight less with my mom. Which is almost impossible because we are the exact same person.
I am able to help others that are in a negative place. It’s so much easier to be motivational when you are coming from a positive place. Also it’s easier to point out silver linings in situations. When a person comes to you with a problem it’s best to actively listen to the entire situation and highlight some high points for them! A lot of times we can’t see the good from where we stand. The outside looking in is sometimes the best approach for finding a good aspect of a negative situation.
I LOVE MYSELF SO MUCH MORE. With a positive mindset you are able to focus on all the good things about your life. In fact I seldom find myself down and out about things out of my control. I spend more time focusing on my goals and being happy about all of my accomplishments. For any of my loves who have ongoing problems with loving yourself one way to have a positive view of yourself is to write down three things you love about yourself every single day! You are a great person in more than one aspect. (You’ve just got to remind yourself sometimes.)
I believe in my ability to achieve my goals. Maybe that was what was wrong with my in high school. I simply couldn’t picture myself achieving any of my dreams. Now even when I’m knocked back a few steps I view it as a learning experience and I move forward while adapting accordingly.
Lastly I can see that I am not ACTIVELY pursuing my dreams. When you feel like anything is possible you have no reason not to take an aggressive approach to your future. For a really long time I was living on the defensive. THERE IS NO REASON FOR THAT. A goal might take a long time to achieve! Go for it anyways because the time will pass regardless!
XOXO,
NBNealie
